Meitheal an Oirthir Young Composer Workshop

Meitheal an Oirthir is thrilled to present their 2024 young composer workshop with the talented Ciarán FitzGerald on Sunday, October 27th, from 2-4 pm in Clasac, Alfie Byrne Raod, Dublin!

A Senior Clinical Pharmacist and multi-instrumentalist from Celbridge, Co. Kildare, Ciarán plays flute, concertina, uilleann pipes, fiddle, and tin whistle. He leads the 50-piece 'Misneach Orchestra,' performing the acclaimed 'Misneach' suite to sold-out audiences nationwide. Their debut album launches at the National Concert Hall on January 11, 2025.

Ciarán, a 14-time All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil champion, has played for President Higgins, Pope Francis, and on multiple Comhaltas Tours.
